Accra, July 25, GNA - The German government had earmarked 45 million Euros to build a worldwide network of 1,000 partner schools through which the interest of the German language would be enhanced. The network of German schools abroad and schools offering the German Language certificate would be strengthened and extended to foster and anchor German language in national education system. A statement issued by the Federal Republic of Germany on Friday said the money would be coordinated by the Federal Foreign office and implemented in cooperation with the Central Agency for Schools Abroad, Goethe-Institute, Educational Exchange Service and the German Academic Exchange service.
It stated that the network would develop fruitful and long lasting relationship with Germans, schools, teachers and inspire students to exchange ideas.
It said that an Internet learning platform hosted by the Goethe-Institute would enable students to interact with one another across the world and communicate in German in training and help teachers in providing web-based lessons.
