Ghana@50 Announcement

As part of Ghana's 50th Anniversary celebrations, the Ministry of Information, in collaboration with the Ghana@50 Secretariat is organizing a Grand Musical Concert , Re-enactment of Independence Declaration and Fireworks display On Monday March 5, 2007 at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, Accra.

The Musical Concert starts at 6pm Monday March 5, 2007 to 6am Tuesday March 6, 2007. The concert will feature musicians like Kojo Antwi, Amakye Dede, A. B. Crentsil, Nana Tuffour, Becca, Mad Fish, and many more.

The re-enactment of Independence Declaration will be a play by the Ghana Actors Guild. This will start at 11:45pm and it will last for 15 minutes. It will be followed by a massive Fireworks Display on the stroke of midnight on Independence Day.

The Fireworks display will run simultaneously in all the regional capitals, at the following places:

Kumasi: Asawasi School Park

Wa: Wa Sports Stadium

Koforidua: Jackson Park

Sunyani: Kwame Nkrumah Regional Park

Sekondi: New Regional Park

Cape Coast: St. Augustine School Park

Tamale: Police Park

Ho: Ho Sports Stadium

Bolgatanga: Bolgatanga Sports Stadium

The general public is invited to come and usher in our 50TH Anniversary. There will be lots of drinks and food.
