Ghana Palaver Managing Editor goes home

Accra, Nov. 10, GNA - Mr. Jojo Bruce-Quansah, Managing Editor of the Ghana Palaver, who was found on Wednesday after missing from his residence on Tueday has gone back home while police investigations continue.

Reliable police sources at the Police Headquarters told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that Mr. Bruce-Quansah was a complainant and not a suspect.

The sources said police would analyse data available to them before coming out with their findings.

Mr. Bruce-Quansah who was said to have gone missing at dawn on Tuesday after allegedly being attacked by unknown persons told police that he had not been missing but was sick in hospital. The police sources said Mr Bruce-Quansah told Police interrogators that he would neither disclose the name of the hospital nor the doctor because the doctor did not want to be involved in politics. "When Jojo Bruce-Quansah was 'missing', that was when it was serious. But now, we will take our time to do our investigations," the sources said.

Police said on Wednesday that Mr Kwamena Ahwoi, a leading member of the National Democratic Congress, had informed them that Mr. Bruce- Quansah had been found at Tema. Police had begun investigations to establish the whereabouts and alleged attack on the "Ghana Palaver" Editor, who was reported missing on Tuesday.

Mr Bruce-Quansah has been in the news of late following heavy fines slapped on him for libel.
