Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, Volta Regional Minister, has expressed satisfaction at the progress of work on day one of the Ghana card registration ongoing in the Volta Region.
He said, “so far, so good" and encouraged citizens to visit registration centres for their national identity cards.
Dr Letsa said this when he toured some registration centres in Kpetoe, in the Agotime-Ziope District.
He said the card holds a lot of benefits for the citizenry and called for support from all stakeholders.
The Regional Minister urged the registration officers to be diligent and professional for a successful exercise.
Some applicants at the centres said though the documentation processes were not laborious, the long queues were worrying.
The month-long registration exercise is expected to capture at least 85 per cent of Ghanaians in the Region in all 18 districts and municipalities
