Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) former Member of Parliament Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed has declared that the problem Ghana now has with rise in violence, vigilantism and chaos is because President of Ghana, H.E Akufo-Addo is himself an “embodiment of chaos and anarchy”, and in the former NDC MP’s opinion, Ghana would have been better off without Akufo-Addo as President.

Mr Murtala also accused President Akufo-Addo of financing terror from the Jubilee House, and granting immunity to vigilante groups who operate under his watch at the Presidency.

“Let no one be surprised about the chaotic nature of the situation we find ourselves today, because we have a President who himself is an embodiment of chaos and anarchy and when you make a mistake to give such a person power, you get chaos, you get violence”, the firebrand opposition communicator said.

Addressing students of the Tamale Technical University Students Wing of the opposition NDC (TEIN), in a program MYNEWSGH.com exclusively covered, the former lawmaker said Ghanaians should go look for Messrs Kofi Coomson, Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe and former President Kufuor to apologize to them for not heeding to their advice to steer clear of then candidate Akufo-Addo.

Of the statements of these three men over Akufo-Addo, Murtala told the students:

“If all these predictions were made about the chaotic possibility of President Akufo-Addo being a President, and you look at the circumstances that we find our country today, what we are seeing today, I ask you and I ask myself, is it any surprising?”

He said then candidate Akufo-Addo himself made utterances that justified the fear of the possibility of his presidency, questioning if indeed Akufo-Addo is the reputed lawyer that he is touted to be.

“He didnt stop at what people said about him. He himself said things. No one pushed it down his throat.. he himself made dangerous statements”, Murtala Mohammed said.

“Look at his utterances even as a candidate. All die be die, if I don’t win there will be war… there will be blood. Ghana will burn if I don’t win.. Even my 10 year old child knows about all die be die and we are told that he is the best lawyer in Ghana and even Africa. That he understand law more than anyone else”, Murtala mocked as the students cheered him on.

The TEIN Open Forum was put together by the student leadership of the NDC students wing. MYNEWSGH.com’s Northern Regional Correspondent covered it exclusively.
