Ghana needs Mahama back - Brogya Genfi

A former Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ernest Brogya Genfi, says the only Saviour for Ghana, come 2020, is none other than former President John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking to host Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Brogya Genfi touted some major achievements under the erstwhile Mahama regime and believes Ghanaians will dump President Nana Akufo-Addo and his government for a "more prudent and visionary leader in the person of the former President in the next general elections.

He accused the Akufo-Addo administration of failing to steer affairs of the nation successfully and further compounding the plight of Ghanaians.

Sounding hopeful that former President Mahama will emerge victor in the party's Presidential Primaries which comes off in January next year, he added that the NDC will certainly wrestle power from the incumbent government.

To him, the NPP is already jittery of Mr Mahama's comeback as witnessed by the countless shades thrown at the former President by Nana Akufo-Addo during public functions, and the recent steps reportedly taken by Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the NPP's Ashanti Regional Chairman to halt his (Mahama’s) bid to be president again.

“I don’t think that anything can stop President Mahama from running for office in 2020. With the current condition Ghana faces, everything proves that we need former President Mahama back and if we need him back, it is the NDC that will bring him back. This is why we’re all rallying towards former President”, he stated.
