Ghana ranked 108th happiest country in the world - Report

Ghana has been ranked as the 108th happiest country in the world, according to the latest World Happiness Report.

The report which spans between 2015 and 2017 assesses the happiness of people living in 156 countries across the world.

The criteria for evaluating the countries include per capita Gross Domestic Product, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity, social support and absence of corruption in government or business.

The key variables of the report are income, healthy life expectancy, social support, freedom, trust, and generosity.

Ghana finds itself ranked at 108 out of the total 156 countries that the report took into consideration.

This means the country is behind fellow African countries like Libya (70), Nigeria (91), Cameroon (99), Gabon (103), and Ivory Coast (107).

On the world ranking, the West African country finds itself behind the likes of Russia (59), Pakistan (75), Palestinian Territories (104) and Iran (106).

Meanwhile, the World Happiness Report ranks Finland as the happiest country in the world, while Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Switzerland follow in that order to make up the top five.
