A total of 24 exceptional individuals were honoured at the 2024 Ghana Outstanding Personalities Awards (GOPA), held in Accra.
The awardees used the platform to urge Ghana’s newly elected government to prioritize policies that will grow the private sector, boost entrepreneurship, and create job opportunities for the nation’s youth.
The prestigious event celebrated leaders and changemakers from diverse industries for their outstanding contributions to Ghana’s socio-economic development.
Themed “Inspiring a Legacy of Achievement: Recognizing Ghana’s Exceptional Leaders and Changemakers,” this year’s ceremony brought together influential figures from business, governance, media, and the arts to highlight their achievements and underscore the critical role of leadership in national progress.

Categories awarded included Business Leadership, Management, Education, Banking, Health, Community Development, and Innovation in Technology.

Speaking on the sidelines after the awards, one honouree emphasized the private sector’s role as a critical driver of economic growth and employment.
