Ghana to open mission in Botswana

Ghana is to open a mission in Gaborone, Botswana soon. Ghana's High Commissioner to Namibia, Mrs. Maureen Amematekpor will have a supervisory role over the mission when it is finally commissioned.

He said Ghana has a lot to learn from Botswana, which had practiced democratic rule and good governance for the past 14 years. Mr. Matlhabaphiri expressed appreciation for the relationship between the two countries and the offer of 20 scholarships to citizens of Botswana to study at the University of Ghana, Legon under the auspices of the World Health Organisation (WHO). He said currently about 16 students from Botswana are studying medicine in Ghana.
