A political analyst and former lecturer at the Kumasi Technical University, Thomas Kusi Boafo has cautioned Ghanaians against returning the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) to power in any future elections.

“Ghanaians shouldn’t dream of returning NDC to power in any future elections,” he stated

Giving analysis and assessments of the eight-year rule of the opposition National Democratic Congres, Mr. Kusi Boafo said the NDC came to power to punish Ghanaians by introducing killer taxes and looting the state.

He added that Ghana became what he described as a cannibalized state, especially during the term of former President John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking on Oman FM’s political analysis Programme Boiling Point, Thomas Kusi Boafo who is the Chief Executive Officer of Public Sector Reform said the recent revelations at the COCOBOD by the CEO Mr Joseph Boahen Aidoo is a reflection of what really happened during the term of Mr. John Dramani Mahama.

He could not fathom why the former CEO of COCOBOD Dr Stephen Kwabena Opuni would withdraw the $400million, which is the remaining amount of the $1.5billion syndicated loan after they lost elections, if they came to power with the right motive.

Thomas Kusi Boafo who commended President Nana Akufo-Addo for steps being taken so far argued that the country’s economy is now in the hands of right managers and Ghanaians urged to keep faith with the New Patriotic Party administration.

“The economy of Ghana is now safe hands….so Ghanaians shouldn’t be bothered..Nana Akufo-Addo mean business,” he said.
