AN ILLEGAL [Ghanaian] immigrant duped security to work on jets at Stansted Airport, in United Kingdom, for three years.
Cleaner Amanda Banga, 37, stole the identity of a legal Portuguese migrant worker, Francisca da Veiga, before forging a passport.
It enabled her to gain entry to Britain in 2000. She later spent two years working for cleaning company Initial at Stansted, Essex, before transferring to a flight security firm a year ago.
Ghana-born Banga was exposed when she became involved in a dispute with another Ghanaian, who told cops.
Banga, of no fixed address, is charged with possessing false identity documents. She is remanded in custody and will appear at crown court in February.
A Stansted source said: “It beggars belief. But there is no suggestion this woman had any ulterior motives other than getting herself a job.”
