The police authorites in Dusseldorf, Germany have confirmed the arrest of 16 Ghanaian nationals involved in stealing, mostly expensive Mercedes, BMW, VH Phaeton and other four-wheel drive cars in the Ruhrgebiet area of North Rhein Vestphalia State.

So far, about 58 of such expensive cars had been stolen by the syndicate and shipped to Ghana.

The police were able to trace and arrest members of the syndicate when one of them, who had used his mobile photo camera to take pictures of the group, lost it after stealing a car in Dusseldorf.
