Ghanaians are killing themselves not gov't

A former Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central Constituency of the Greater Accra Region during former President Rawlings' regime, Mr. Ishmail Bawa says the claims that government is killing Ghanaians are false, saying, Ghanaians are killing themselves.

Mr. Bawa contested for the position of Vice-Chairman within the National Democratic Congress in the Greater Accra Region made this revelation on Rainbow Radio International when he was hosted by Kwaku Owusu Frimpong in London.

He was reacting to the demonstration held by the by the Alliance for Accountable Governance (AFAG), dubbed "Aagbewo"' in Accra.

Mr. Bawa said demonstration is a constitutional right for anybody who may sense fowl play on the part of the leadership and the no one could have stopped AFAG from hitting the street provided the group followed the required procedures to embark on the demonstration.

According to the former legislature, Ghana is not the only nation on earth that is suffering from economic challenges.

He said Ghanaians need to exercise patients and bear with the government of the day and gradually, the nation will achieve its goals and the expected peace and progress that everyone is dreaming off.

Mr. Bawa advised Ghanaians to desist from attacking political leaders and focus on supporting them for the country to move forward.
