Ghanaians could increase life expectancy rate-Dr. Mann

Cape Coast, Feb.18, GNA - A Chiropractic Specialist Dr. Marcus Allan Mann, has said that it is possible for Ghanaians to live beyond their life expectancy rate of 57 years if they adopt healthy lifestyles.

He noted that the everyday lifestyle habits of Ghanaians could be likened to 93death styles" because most of them do not eat right or exercise rightly, while the quality of water they drink is also not good. Dr. Mann said this at a lecture organized by the University of Cape Coast as part of its 93Occasional Lecture Series" on campus.

He said pathologists had found out that 96% of deaths all over the world are caused by interference in the functioning of an internal organ. Therefore the introduction of chiropractic, which is the treatment of bodily disorders by the manipulation of the spine, was a means to generate the healing process from the source of the disease. He explained that the process deals directly with the nervous system that is the spinal cord and added that it could be done alongside with orthodox healing.

Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, Vice Chancellor of UCC who chaired the lecture, said one objective of the Occasional Lecture Series of the University was to reach out to audiences outside of the institution to enlighten and expose the audience to topical issues.
