Ghanaians descend on Eagle Prophet, call for his arrest over failed Mahama swearing in prophecy

General Overseer of God's Crown Chapel, Reindolph Oduro Gyebi, popularly known as Eagle Prophet, has come under heavy criticism after his prophecy regarding events to occur during the newly sworn-in President, John Mahama, failed.

The popular Kumasi-based man of God had prophesied that Ghanaians would vote in 2024, and there would be a swearing-in ceremony in 2025. However, he claimed the elected president would not be sworn in on January 7, 2025, as is customary, but on a different date.

Touting his spiritual prowess, Prophet Gyebi stated: "I have one of the sharpest eyes when it comes to seeing from a great distance."

Although Prophet Gyebi's 2017 prophecy about an accident that claimed the lives of 20 revelers and left over 30 others injured came to pass, his prediction about Mahama's swearing-in proved completely inaccurate.

This has led to some Ghanaians on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter, lambasting the prophet and calling for his arrest.

One user, kikii6022388173 said, "All these people with false prophecies should be arrested."

Another, Slow_kobby said: @JDMahama do this for me. Make strict laws to regulate these scammers called โ€œmen of Godโ€ before leaving office. 4 yrs is long enough.

Ismaila_kalusha added: God is tired of the so called prophets He decided to use 2024 election to expose them all, God is Great.

Kobbyskary said: Nkwasia Prophecy bษ›n ni โ€ฆ who didnโ€™t know Ghanaians will vote in 2024 and a swearing in ceremony in 2025

Nana B, asked: "So how do they feel when their prophecyโ€™s fail"?
