Former President John Dramani Mahama has assured Ghanaians, especially drivers that, he will provide a better form of leadership to minimize the untold hardship brought on them by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to him, drivers are complaining bitterly because they are always working for petrol stations because they invest their profits in the purchase of fuel.
The aspiring presidential candidate who officially launched his campaign in the Central region on Thursday, told gathering at Assin Central today [Friday] to be rest assured that, the economic difficulties under the NPP will be a thing of the past if the NDC is elected in 2020.
The only time Ghanaians enjoy better policies, programmes and economic stability is when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is in power, he claimed.
He told the gathering not to lose hope because the NDC will surely win the 2020 polls, and assume office to provide the competent leadership Ghanaians are yearning for.
"Do not be worried because there is hope ahead of us. The struggles and economic challenges confronting us today will be no more by 2020 when NDC takes over power. NDC will provide better leadership. We have done it before. We will do it again. Whenever there is economic stability, whenever we witness better policies; then it is the NDC in power,’’ Mr Mahama told the crowd.
"We will bring Ghanaians hope in 2020. We will bring you the economic stability you are searching for. We will bring back stability,’’ he stressed.
Meanwhile, he has admonished party supporters to unite their front, be vigilant and work hard in 2020 to prevent the NPP from rigging the elections in their favour.
