Ghanaians in London Proceed on a Mammoth Demo

Ghanaians in London Proceed on a Mammoth Petition-Demonstration on 12 April 2013

Before the Organisers are allowed any chance to announce the impending Ghanaian petition demonstration scheduled for Friday, 12 April 2013 from 09:30, the "article man" must be seen to be steps ahead of them in its advertising. I am going to tread cautiously in order not to put out any contradictory information that has the potency to place me in the firing line of some slimy-mouthed Ghanaians.

I stand to be corrected but not castigated if I made a minor or a gargantuan mistake reporting on the upcoming Ghanaian demonstration in London . For the information of the entire Ghanaian population in Europe especially those in the United Kingdom, and particularly in London, there is going to be a one day assemblage of Ghanaians in London for a unique purpose.

Ghana, the beacon of Africa , (the Black Star of Africa) is now obviously at crossroads in her democratic political pursuit. This problem has come about as a result of the shameless quest by African leaders in general and Ghanaian presidents in particular to needlessly abusively exercise their incumbency to entrench themselves in power.

The current President in Ghana , His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, is understandably alleged to have ascended to the presidential throne on electoral malpractices, irregularities and fraud all of which are deemed contrary to the statutory requirements of Ghana . If indeed this instance has occurred in Ghana as very often occurs in other places in Africa , then the Black Star of Africa must be seen to shine in the stellar horizon, guiding people out of the frightening darkness hence, the impending gargantuan demonstration as aforesaid.

The demonstration comes up on Friday 12 April 2013 from 09:30 in London . The participants will gather near the Ghana High Commission at 13 Belgrave Square, London , SW1X 8PN or at the nearest tube station to the area, VICTORIA TUBE STATION. Once the participants have gathered, we shall all solemnly march to the Ghana High Commission to present a petition to the Government of Ghana, particularly His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, via the Ghana High Commissioner.

We shall again proceed to the 10 Downing Street to deliver a similar petition to the British Prime Minister David Cameron. What about the Commonwealth Head Office? We shall be there also to do a similar presentation, I should think.

I understand Sky News and Al Jazeera Live TV have accepted to cover the event. We are still waiting on BBC News to confirm whether or not they will be covering the occasion but I sure hope, they will.

My favourable No.1 London radio station, Sources radio Fm 96.3 which can be located online via a search on modernghana online, and her sister radio stations, Naspa, WBLS and others will also be covering it live. Sources radio will link up with Oman Fm and other radio stations in Ghana , Naspa linking up with Peace Fm in Ghana and WBLS linking up with Kesben in Kumasi , Ghana , to grace the occasion with a live coverage broadcast to Ghanaians back home.

The whole world and all interested Ghanaians worldwide will see and hear the impending gargantuan demonstration.

I leave it to the organisers to state the aims and objectives of the public demonstration slated for 12 April 2013. Police will be in attendance to guard the demonstrators as done in any public demonstration held in the United Kingdom but nothing else. They will direct us into which streets to use, stopping vehicular movements when needed, to ensure our safety. Any other explanation to be offered by anybody apart from the core organisers of the demonstration should be treated as a fabrication to limit the number of people attending the DEMO.

For "further details and better explanations" or as Dr. Afari Gyan will request, "further details and better particulars", please wait to read from the organisers, Adroba, Peter Nana Antwi Boasiako and others. All the necessary information about the DEMO will be disseminated over the airwaves by DJ Sarkodie of Sources radio, Rabbi of WBLS, Kuuku Spencer of Naspa and their sister radio stations in the UK , Europe and Ghana .

The wise one from Kumawu/Asiampa will be there so you too MUST make it a date to be there to grace the occasion. We are doing something that will make posterity remember us for good, but not for bad, reasons.

Maa Akosua, Abaawa Fabrics, Rhoda & Sister, Mr. Antwi (Rhoda's father), Obaa Yaa, Obaa K3k33, Obaa Tuntum (Belgium), Kofi Tottenham, Kwame Peckham, Kwame Homerton, Maame B. Sorkode, Kwame Owusu-Ansah, Sly, Nana Yaw Sarpong, Peter Nana Antwi Boasiako, Chairman Atta Krufi, Kanawu and most representatives from the Ghanaian London-based radio stations will be there so be there, my readers, to interact with them for the good of Ghana.

COME ONE COME ALL!
