Ghanaians must prove they are politically matured

Donkro-Nkwanta (B/A), Aug. 26, GNA- Mr Kwame Ampofo-Twumasi, Nkoranza District Chief Executive, has urged Ghanaians to prove that they were disciplined and matured in politics.

Addressing members of Nkoranza South District Seventh-Day Adventists (SDA) Church at the close of an annual Camp Meeting at Donkro Nkwanta, he said Ghanaians must make Election 2004 incident-free.

He urged the people not to allow party politics to divide their ranks.

Mr Ampofo-Twumasi urged religious leaders and traditional authorities to educate the people on the importance of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and to encourage them to patronize it. Nana Owusu Acheaw-Brempong II, Chief of Donkro Nkwanta, appealed to parents to pay greater attention to the training and education of their children and prevent them from attending video shows. He cautioned the youth against the HIV/AIDS.

The Executive Secretary of the Mid-West Ghana Conference of the SDA Church, Pastor Frederick Adjei-Baah, in a sermon, said the most significant and important mark of every individual was one's birthright, which must be well protected.

Dr Samson Adu-Asamoah, in-charge of the Adu Herbal Clinic in Sunyani and a member of the church, who presided, advised members to love one another.
