Former Manhyia North Parliamentarian, Collins Owusu Amankwah, has urged Ghanaian electorates to punish the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) on election day.

Speaking about the current situation in Parliament, which has resulted in the House going on an indefinite suspension, Collins Owusu Amankwah described the behavior of the members and the Speaker as "uncouth."

He noted that the longer Parliament remains suspended, the longer government business is delayed, hence affecting the smooth administration of the country.

He asked the Speaker to reconvene Parliament immediately, stressing that it does not augur well for the House and the nation if the 8th Parliament cannot find a solution to their impasse.

In view of the Minority's behavior and the Speaker's defiance of the Supreme Court ruling to stay his order, Collins Amankwah advised Ghanaians to vote massively for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

He implored the electorate to ensure the party wins the majority of seats in the next Parliament.

"Ghanaians must punish the NDC for what they have done," he stated on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" show.

He asserted that "in any civilized democracy," the "NDC is finished."
