Ghanaians not prepared for Mahama again - NPP Treasurer

Former President John Mahama Former President John Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama will only be wasting his resource and energy in trying to stage a comeback as Commander-In-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces , Treasurer for the Cape Coast North constituency of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Stephen Kojo Arhin has observed.

He believes Ghanaians have had enough of him and the earlier he re-channels his resources and strength into other productive areas of both national and international importance, the better for him insisting there is governance fatigue among Ghanaians with his style of administration.

In an exclusive interview with mynewsgh.com at his residence, the NPP executive known in the political circles as Wewebi urged the former President to be grateful to God for seeing him through various stages in his political life till he became the number one citizen of the country.

“He should be grateful God saw him through each stage while rising through the ranks to become President. I think it is high time they advise him to take a backstage in politics or will risk ruining the little reputation left if he attempts contesting as flagbearer of the party. It would be more disgraceful if he goes into the polls and loses to the incumbent government”, he indicated.

According to him, the former president has passed through the stages of governance by being an Assemblyman, Member of Parliament (MP), Deputy Minister, Vice President as well as President of the nation and therefore must retire since his predecessor, President John Evans Atta Mills did not will the presidency to him and that Ghanaians are tired of the same old face.
