Ghanaians urged to allow the Holy Spirit to lead them

Winneba (C/R), April 11, GNA - Pastor Jacob Bernard Bentil of the Tema-Ashaiman official town branch of the Reformed Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ghana, has asked Ghanaians to re-examine their lives as they celebrate the Easter festivities. He said Ghanaians should allow the Holy Spirit to lead them in their daily lives and reminded them that they could not achieve anything meaningful in life without the guidance and blessings of the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Bentil said this when he preached on the theme "Salvation to the World" on Good Friday as part of a-four-day Easter Convention of the church in Winneba. Pastor Bentil said most people do not complete their stewardship on earth before they die, but Jesus Christ was able to fulfil his mission within a short period. He said Christ died and left his spirit in the hands of God and charged "Christians to be conscious of their assignment in this world and be prepared to surrender their spirit into the hands of their maker at any appointed time".

Pastor Bentil said "if Christ had not died on the cross, the glories of God would not have been made manifest and advised Christians to follow the footsteps of Christ. The General Overseer of the Church, Baba Alakoshe Nkrumah, also advised Ghanaians to humble themselves as Jesus humbled himself unto death and allow Easter to reconcile them. 11 April 09
