Prophet Dr J.K. Amoh, the Founder and Leader of the Hand for Christ Mission International, has advised political parties in the country to advise their functionaries to refrain from abusing their political opponents.
The Founder and Leader also asked self-seeking politicians, to stop any activity that could destabilise the nation, and instead support the needy and the poor.
He told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an exclusive interview at New Nsutam near Bonsu Junction in the Eastern Region, that the country needed a peaceful atmosphere which, according to him, was the pre-requisite for the growth of multi-party democracy.
Prophet Dr Amoh had earlier in the day, preached the Easter Sunday sermon which was attended by a congregation of about 200 members, high profile dignitaries including; medical doctors, politicians, lawyers, journalists and chiefs.
He prayed for those in high offices, the nation, the poor and the sick and called on Ghanaians to see themselves as one people and urged politicians to use their platforms to promote the good image of the country.
Prophet Dr Amoh urged the clergy and ministers of state to endeavour to be role models for society and be law-abiding in order to live in peace and harmony with themselves.
The Prophet said: “It is rewarding to be in the presence of God”, to find God’s direction and blessing”.
