Bolgatanga Central Member of Parliament (MP), Mr. Isaac Adongo, has expressed optimism that, come December 7, 2024, there will be a change in the leadership of the country.

He believes former President John Dramani Mahama will win the presidential election.

Speaking at the official launch of the national campaign of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), he described Mr. Mahama as a man with credibility.

He said, “Let me assure you today that the NDC is on the verge of bringing the man who brings credibility, who brings delivery, to the office of the President. Former President John Dramani Mahama is the man—‘What you see is what you get.’”

Mocking the announcement by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to introduce a 'buy now and pay later' policy that will allow Ghanaians to buy mobile devices and pay in monthly instalments, he said that with Mahama as President, Ghanaians will not see the President selling mobile phones for one cedi or two cedis.

He also assured the gathering that a new NDC will find a solution to fixing the unemployment situation in Ghana and create opportunities for the youth in Ghana.

He referred to the NDC as the only party with the capacity to deal with a challenging economy, adding that Mr. Mahama is the only man left standing with the competence to turn the economy around.
