Ghanaians are yearning for a change in government in this year’s presidential and parliamentary elections, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, flag bearer of the Progressive People’s party (PPP) has said.
According to him, the electorate want a change from the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) to the PPP following the realisation of the job creation agenda of the PPP ahead of the elections on December 7.
Speaking to journalists in Accra on Wednesday November 2, Dr Nduom said: “As for campaigning we are on the road. We were in the central region, this weekend (we will be) in the Western region, we were in the Volta region yesterday (Tuesday November 1) and we are going back to the Central Region tomorrow. After that we are hitting the road to Brong Ahafo and the three northern regions and so the campaign is on.”
He added: “Some people may be sitting in Accra saying the NPP and the NDC, here and there. Well I say they can be in the media in Accra, we are there, where it matters, where the people are. It is wonderful what is going on, people want change, they want the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) so when they hear the jobs agenda, they know it is real because it is based on practical fact, they can see what is going on throughout the country.”
