WITH DAMNING EVIDENCE
Former President Kufuor may appear to be having a good time in his private life after two terms of office but The Daily Democrat can state that all is not well with him and some members of his family.
What ex-President Kufuor fears most is about to happen to him following information gathered by The Daily Democrat that two women, who more about the dealings of the NPP, especially what happened in around the Kufuors, are storming town very soon to present damning evidence about various acts of corruption in the previous administration.
The two women, Ama Frema Busia, daughter of Dr. Abrefa Busia and Gizelle Yatzi, the woman, who helped Chief Kufuor negotiate for the purchase of the infamous “Hotel Kufuor, are going to take advantage of the air of freedom brought by the change of government to divulge some information to indict some members of the erstwhile NPP administration.
Madam Ama Frema Busia, who worked closely with Francis Poku, former National Security Coordinator, is expected to reveal circumstances that led to the ‘torture’ ex-President Kufuor meted out to her. She alleged then that she was subjected to torture by the NPP, under the direction of the former President for refusing to collaborate with them in some deals that were not in the interest of the nation.
She claimed that the drug was allegedly facilitated by the NPP for the personal interest of some persons in the party. She rejoiced over the December 2008 victory of the NDC and even wrote a poem on it. She is currently in a Western country.
Gizelle Yatzi, on her part, became a popular figure in Ghana when she claimed that the ex-President bought a house belonging to a Lebanese, with his son, Chief Kufuor, serving as a front man. Series of denials came from various spokespersons of the then President and his son, leaving behind a whole lot of contradictions that gave credence to the allegation.
Whilst Kwabena Agyepong, then Presidential Spokesperson, was categorical denied Kufuor and his son’s knowledge of or involvement in any purchase of a hotel, Mr. Charles Sam, the spokesperson of Chief Kufuor, admitted that the latter put together a consortium to purchase what is known today as African Regent Hotel, very close to the house of the Kufuors.
Gizelle’s presence in the country was first in connection with the securing of a Kuwaiti loan for some projects. She was apparently disappointed when she failed to get her share. She also alleged she had a pair of twins with Mr. Kufuor.
The presence of these two women is believed to shatter the defense of the NPP in some cases to be brought before court because the evidence they have is very authentic.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed information The Daily Democrat has is that they have already submitted some documents to the Mills administration for studying.
