Gnassingbe leaves Accra for home

Accra, Oct. 12, GNA - President Faure Gnassingbe of the Republic of Togo left Accra this afternoon after a day's official visit to Ghana. During the visit the Togolese President held bilateral talks with President John Agyekum Kuffuor.

He inspected a guard of honour mounted by a detachment of the 48 regiment consisting of three officers and 101 men under the command of Captain Richard Nyamado at the Kotoka International Airport before his departure.

President Gnassigbe stood on the dais as the anthems of the two countries were played.

Also in attendance was a Togolese cultural troupe. At the airport to see him off were Nana Akuffo Addo, Ghana's Foreign Minister, senior government officials and Service Commanders.
