Accra, April 13, GNA - Apostle Dr Opoku Onyinah, Chairman of the Church of Pentecost (COP), has said through the death and resurrection of Christ, God had reconciled mankind to Himself. This, he said, clearly showed God's infinite and everlasting love for Man.
He said to reciprocate this kind gesture, there was the need for Christians to mend their ways and lead exemplary and morally good lives. Apostle Dr Onyinah said this when he delivered the sermon at a Thanks-giving Service in Accra on Sunday to round off a four-day Easter Convention organized by the Dansoman Area of the COP. He told Christians that Easter should constantly remind them that as children of God whose sins had been atoned for by the death of Christ, they owed it a responsibility to serve God in all humility and obedience. The COP Chairman assured Christians that because "God knows us by our names, not only has He been merciful to us by showing His redemption through His Son, but will continue to be our protector and guide at all times." Apostle Dr Onyinah urged Christians to seek the face of God in everything to make the death and resurrection of Christ more meaningful in their lives. Prophet Jonathan Osei Amaniampong, Dansoman Area Head of the Church, appealed to members to use the occasion to reflect soberly on their lives, live like Christians and win more souls for the Lord's Ministry.
