God's Home School holds Graduation

Accra, July 29, GNA- Mr. Emmanuel Kusi-Appiah, Deputy Officer-In-Charge of the Accra Sub-Metro Office of the Ghana Education Service (GES), has called on parents to take active interest in the education of their children so that they would grow up to become useful citizens. Mr. Kusi-Appiah made the call at the 10th Anniversary and Speech and Prize-Giving Day of God's Home School at Dansoman in Accra on Saturday. It was under the theme: "Challenges of Education--The Ghanaian child."

Mr. Appiah-Kusi said the situation where some parents used to spend huge amounts of money on funerals and other social activities instead of paying their children school fees did not augur well for their development.

He also urged parents to exhibit good lifestyles for their children to emulate.

Madam Martha da-Rocha, Proprietress of the school advised the pupils to refrain from acts which would hinder their progress in future. She appealed to parents to pay their children school fees promptly to give them the peace mind to attend to their studies. Pupils who excelled during the year received prizes and certificates.
