The founder and leader of the New Vision Party (NVP) Prophet Daniel Yaw Nkansah has disclosed that three powerful individuals in Ghana and abroad have offered him 50 million dollars to buy his political party.
The NYP was issued a certification of recognition by the Electoral Commission (EC) some few weeks ago and as indicated by its founder, "the NVP has become attractive to a lot of deprived Ghanaians and because we are going to win this elections, powerful groups are offering us money to buy our party to deny us the opportunity God has ordained us to serve Ghana."
Prophet Yaw Nkansah made this remarks at the party's regional Congress at the Eastern Regional capital Koforidua which was also used to elect its regional executives.
The Congress was attended by mostly the youth who seemed to have been motivated to give their support to the party.
The founder of NVP outlined some of his party’s vision to the supporters as free education to all Ghanaians up to secondary school level, allowance for citizens up to 18 years, and also pays regular allowances to persons 60 years and above.
The prophet interspersed his speech with "Amen and Amen" and told the crowd that the NVP was not a party that belonged to his church or had members only from his congregation as was being suggested by some sections of the public.
He referred to his National Women's Organizer, Hajia Ajara and the Greater Accra Chairman Alhaji Appiah as Muslims and other party members coming from different religious faith.
He said the party would conclude all its regional congresses and later elect its flag-bearer in August who would win the December elections hands down.
