Kumasi, May 30, GNA - The Ghana Oil Company Limited (Goil) says it has registered significant increases in sales volumes since it began the "She no ma" promotion early this year.
The Company has recorded 10 per cent growth in petrol sales and 12 per cent growth in diesel as at the end of April, this year. Mr. Charles Darko, Fuels Marketing Manager of Goil, made this known in an interview after the northern sector draw of the "She no ma" promotion in Kumasi, on Friday.
He said the promotion had not only helped to increase sales but also created a lot of awareness among the driving public on the quality products and services of the Company.
Mr Darko said the Company had already reduced the ex-pump price of Super, which was not included in the recent reductions on fuel products announced by the government.
He said the Company's service pumps were "tamper proved", saying they had been designed to prevent cheating of customers. Mr Darko said the "She no ma" promotion aimed at sharing with its customers some of the profits of the Company, adding that, the Company had also established a customer care service to address the concerns of its customers.
In the draw, Mr Tawiah Broni of P.O Box 170, Bantama in Kumasi and owner of vehicle number AS 1319 U, won the Tata Indigo saloon car as the first price.
Other prize winn ers were Madam Angela Owusu, of Kumasi with vehicle registration number AS 5925 W, second position, Mr Osei Justice, also of Kumasi with vehicle registration number AS 335 Y, the third position and one Victor with vehicle registration number GT 5590 Y, taking the fourth position They will receive items including flat screen television sets, gas cylinders, coupons for fuel and other items.
