Gomoa-Kyiren (C/R), March 21, GNA - The people of Gomoa-Kyiren, near Gomoa Assin in the Central Region, have completed a new KVIP place of convenience costing more than 100 million cedis.
The project was funded y an Accra-based Non-Governmental Organization while the inhabitants of the town provided communal labour to facilitate its completion.
Mr. Kingsley Sam, Assemblyman for the area, commended the people for their communal spirit and expressed the hope that they would sustain their enthusiasm in contributing to the development of the town. He said the completion of the project would improve sanitation conditions in the town.
Chiefs in the town also praised the government for initiating measures to complete the electrification project in the town and further appealed to the contractors working on the project to speed up work. Meanwhile, traders operating at Kyiren-Nkwanta market have reiterated the call on the Gomoa District Assembly to accelerate rehabilitation work on the market.
