Gomoa NDC Parliamentary Candidate outlines vision

Mr Desmond De-Graft Kwesi Paitoo, Gomoa East Parliamentary Candidate for National Democratic Congress (NDC), has rolled out his vision for the constituency to improve the living standards of the people.

He said the top priorities which would be implemented when voted for as Member of Parliamentary (MP), would be Education and Health, which were key to human development.

Mr Paitoo who spoke to the Press at Gomoa Afransi on Thursday, after the Assembly members endorsed Mr Moses Jehu-Appiah who was nominated by the President John Dramani Mahama three weeks ago, as the new District Chief Executive, (DCE) for Gomoa East.

He said when voted for him as MP, the less privileged would be hooked onto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIA), to enable them go about their normal businesses.

He said as an Aspiring MP for Gomoa East, he had already started registering some people, including the aged in the constituency, to help them get NHIA cards to access quality and affordable health care.

Mr Paitoo said as a clearing agent at Tema Harbour, he would use his experience and expertise to woo more investors both local and foreign into the constituency, to create jobs and wealth for the youth.

He stated that the NDC had the chance to retain the parliamentary seat in the 2016 elections, adding that this would be fruitful as a result of the massive development projects that had been undertaken in the district.

He asked supporters of the other contestants in the NDC primaries to bury their political differences, pointing out that without unity and co-operation, it would be difficult for the party to win.

Mr Bright Botchwey, Gomoa East Communication Officer of NDC, said the party had done enough for the people of Gomoa East for them to vote massively for the party in next year's elections.

He said the constituency executives of the NDC were united, and nothing would stop them to divert their attention to intensify their campaign to win votes for President Mahama and Mr Paitoo as MP to continue from where Mr Okyere Panyin left.

He commended the Assembly members for Gomoa East for endorsing the President’s nominee at the emergency meeting held at Gomoa Afransi, adding that some districts could not approve their nominees, due to misunderstanding, technical and legal problems.
