Goodwill message from the Director-General of the GES

The Management of the Ghana Education Service wishes all candidates well in this year’s West African Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE), which is being conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
We urge all candidates to pay critical attention to questions before attempting to answer them, obey instructions and avoid examination malpractices so as to be successful.

Candidates are to note that the Item Differential Profile (IDP), a security device, which is now in use, functions effectively using binomial theory to detect all forms of examination malpractice.

Any candidate, teacher, head of school or member of the general public, who is detected to have indulged in conspiracy or any form of examination malpractice, shall be punished according to the law.

We, however, acknowledge all hard working teachers, heads of schools, parents and stakeholders for their efforts at ensuring that the Ghanaian child receives quality education for better life.

Signed
JACOB A.M. KOR
DIRECTOR-GENERAL
