Government institutions urged to work in unity

Koforidua, Sept. 18, GNA- The Eastern Regional Minister, Mr Kwadwo Affram Asiedu, on Tuesday urged government institutions, agencies and departments to work in unity for the realization of the national development agenda.

He said the backbiting and bickering that had permeated all government sectors must give way to trust and confidence. Mr Asiedu, who made the remarks when he met with personnel of the Customs Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) in Koforidua as part of his visit to institutions and departments in the region emphasized the importance of collaboration of all stakeholders in the national development.

He told the personnel that being the leaders in revenue collection, they should collaborate and see other revenue collection agencies as one family working towards the same agenda.

The Regional Minister advised them to guard against fraud and cheating to protect the image of CEPS.

The Regional Sector Commander of CEPS, Assistant Commissioner James Teibu, on behalf of the personnel thanked the Minister for his advice and assured him of their total support towards national development. The Regional Minister earlier on, called on the Chiefs and People of the Boso-Gua traditional area in the Asuogyaman District to introduce himself to them.
