Government is determined to help improve living conditions

Banda Ahenkro (B/A) Sept. 29, GNA - Nana Kwadwo Seinti, Brong Ahafo Regional Minister at the weekend expressed the government's determination to help improve the living conditions of Ghanaians. He urged communities to initiate fund raising activities to enhance socio- economic activities in their areas to supplement government efforts.

The Regional Minister was addressing a durbar of chiefs and people of Banda Traditional Area in the region at the climax of the celebration of the annual Fordjor Yam festival at Banda Ahenkro.

Nana Seinti advised the people to support and respect law enforcement agencies in combating crime and to focus on ensuring peaceful elections in December.

He urged the people to cultivate cashew on large scale to become economically sound so they could take good care of their families. Mr. Joe Danquah, Wenchi District Chief Executive, enjoined the people to unite and co-operate to maintain the peace and tranquility in the area.

Osabarima Okokyeredom Kwadwo Sito, Omanhene of the area, commended the government for providing the area with a health centre and called for the rehabilitation of roads in the area, especially the road from Menji to Banda Ahenkro.

The chief advised the people to turn out in their numbers to vote in the general elections in December .
