The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Kumbungu constituency, Professor Adam Hamza, has called on the government to prioritize releasing funds to WAEC, emphasizing its crucial role in the country's educational development.

According to him, the nation fails if the government fails to prioritize quality education for national development.

“The government is owing WAEC, and those who marked exams last year are yet to receive the little they were offered by WAEC. The challenges facing WAEC are detrimental to the educational system of this country. I urge the government to prioritize releasing funds to WAEC because it is crucial. If we fail in the conduct of education, we fail as a country, as the nation's development depends on quality education," he stated.

The MP made these remarks during the presentation of 1,746 mathematical sets to candidates sitting for this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) in the Kumbungu District.

This gesture is part of the measures the MP has taken to ensure that no candidate in the district lacks the basic learning materials required for the exams.
