Nkoranza (B/A) July 19, GNA - Government is constructing a six-classroom block with a recreational centre and a place of convenience for Nkoranza Senior High School, to facilitate the admission of fresh students for the 2010/2011 academic year.
Mr Joseph Kwaku Adjei, Headmaster, told the Ghana News Agency at Nkoranza in the Brong Ahafo Region that the project is expected to be completed by September so that the school would not face classroom accommodation problems when the academic year begins.
He said problem facing the school are lack of masters' bungalows, administration block and science equipment for the science resource centre.
Mr Adjei, immediate past President of Ghana National Association of Teachers, lauded the ban on the use of mobile phones by students in school, saying the practice promoted indiscipline among on campus.
"The use of the phones encourages immorality among students," he said.
He advised parents not to encourage their children to carry mobile phones to school since it affects teaching and learning.
