Gomoa Panfokrom (C/R), Oct. 15, GNA - The management of the Gomoa Panfokrom Women's Training Institute in the Central Region has appealed to the government to fulfil its promise to reconstruct its Administration Block, a dining hall and other infrastructure facilities.
Mr Stephen Asamoah-Boateng, Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Environment, gave the promise at the Institute's Speech and Prize-giving Day about four months ago.
Madam Rebecca Ampah-Korsah, Headmistress, who sounded the reminder, said the government also promised to provide the Institute with a bus, rehabilitate and tar the link roads between Gomoa-Awombrew and Gomoa-Potsin to facilitate the movement of goods and services. She said the lack of transport and staff quarters was seriously hampering the effective running of the Institute.
Madam Ampah-Korsah said the management, and Board of Governors firmly believed that the government would do everything in its power to fulfil the Minister's promise.
She cited a similar promise by the Vice President Aliu Mahama three years ago which led to the connection of the Institute to the national electricity grid and the completion of additional classrooms and a dormitory block for the Institute.
