A brother of the late Dr Hilla Limann says the former president of Ghana was a man of courage who left a great legacy and must be honoured.

According to Kuoru Kuri-Buktie Limann, successive governments are yet to fulfil the promise made by former President Kufuor to build a mausoleum in honour of his brother.

He said aside former President Kufuor who visited the late president’s tomb and showed concern, no other government has paid any attention to Dr Limann’s family.

“He (Kufuor) even said they should build a mausoleum for him, they haven’t built it,” he said.

He also called on government to take care of the former president’s wife, Fulera Limann.

“They should take care of her and come and build his mausoleum and his library in Gornu for him. They should uplift his image, the legacy he has left is so concrete,” he said.

“He was a man of courage, a man of honesty, very powerful and he corrupted nobody. None of his minister or appointees have been found wanting up to date.”

Kuoru Kuri-Buktie Limann spoke to GhanaWeb at a commemoration service for the President of Ghana’s 3rd Republic.
