Public relation officer of the Ministry of Health, Mr Robert Cudjoe, has assured trainee nurses and midwives that government will, by close of the week, pay their trainee allowance arrears.

According to Robert Cudjoe, the Ministry is expecting the controller and accountant general department to release funds for their November and December allowance but a new system introduced known as the definite platform through which all the institutions delayed their pay delayed in paying the allowance.

He said funds will be raised to pay the nurses hopefully by close of the week.

As it stands now, some trainees nurses are not happy with the government following their three month unpaid allowance.
