The family of Justine Agbenu, a deceased victim in the accident involving Elrad Amoako, a son of the founder and leader of Alive Chapel International, Elisha Salifu Amoako, has accused emissaries of the Amoako family of being insensitive to their plight.

Speaking to Kofi Adomah in an interview, the grandmother of the deceased 12-year-old said a junior pastor of Bishop Amoako who reached out to their family to plead made insensitive comments.

“On Sunday, I was informed that one of them called my son-in-law, saying they wanted to come here. He told him that the issue was with the police and so there was no need. His response was that, ‘it has happened already,’” she stated in response when asked about her reasons for sending Bishop Amoako’s emissaries away.

She stated that she did not see any end in engaging the Bishop’s emissaries since the matter is in the hands of the police, hence her decision to send them away when they attempted to visit her family.

“What were they coming to do? I don't have an issue with them; the issue is in the hands of the police,” she said.

She asked that the Amoako family, including 16-year-old Elrad, who rammed into a car occupied by her granddaughter and others with his mother’s car, be made to face the full rigors of the law to serve as a deterrent.

“The boy, he must face the law to the full extent. So that it will serve as a deterrent. If not, this trend will continue. Parents should be more responsible,” she stated.

The tragic accident occurred on October 12, 2024, when 16-year-old Elrad Salifu Amoako, son of Bishop Salifu Amoako, lost control of a Jaguar SUV (GN 7801-20) and collided with a 4×4 Acura vehicle (GR 2542-23) driven by Joseph Ackah.

The collision caused both vehicles to catch fire, resulting in the occupants of the Acura being burned beyond recognition.

Bishop Salifu Amoako, his wife Mouha Amoako, and Linda Bempah, a sales assistant, were arrested and charged with permitting an unlicensed person to drive.

The High Court in Accra on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, granted bail of ¢50,000 each to Bishop Salifu Amoako, his wife, Mouha Amoako, and Linda Bempah following their arrest on October 15.

Bishop Salifu Amoako, on October 18, 2024, issued a heartfelt apology to the families of two girls who tragically lost their lives in an accident in East Legon.

In a video sighted by GhanaWeb, the man of God, whose son was involved in the incident, asked for forgiveness and expressed deep remorse for the tragic event. He explained that he has been struggling to come to terms with what happened and requested mercy from the families.

Meanwhile, Kofi Adomah Nwanwani has reported that Elrad Amoako remains in hospital undergoing recovery following the accident.

His father, Bishop Salifu Amoako, his mother, Mouha Amoako, and Linda Bempah, a sales assistant who has been arrested and charged in connection to the accident, have been granted bail by a court.
