Hammah calls for peace and unity in the country

Winneba, Sept. 3, GNA - Mr Mike Alan Hammah, the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, has appealed Ghanaians to put aside ethnic, religious and political sentiments and rally behind the government to development the nation.

Mr Hammah, the Member of Parliament for Effutu, said this when he joined Muslims in the constituency at prayers to mark Eid-ul-Fitr.

He said peace was essential in the development of every country and therefore stressed the need for Ghanaians to ensure that the peaceful atmosphere in the country is maintained.

Mr Hammah urged the Muslims to let the Ramadan fasting to reflect in their daily lives and that they should continue to pray the peace and stability of the nation.

Alhaji Mohammed Mansuru Issah, the Effutu area Chief Imam, led the gathering to thank Allah for guiding and protecting them during the fasting period and prayed for God’s blessing and guidance for the nation.
