The Lead Convener for the #handsoffourhotels demonstration, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has served notice that if the government does not back off in its bid to sell SSNIT's hotels to Bryan Acheampong's Rock City Hotel, the demonstrations will be replicated in other regions.

He believes that there will be a need to drum home and rally the people of Ghana against the current government's move to take over state assets for their private benefit.

The North Tongu Member of Parliament was speaking at the ongoing demonstration when he made this known.

"The demonstrations may continue if we don't hear from President Akufo-Addo hours after the demonstration, saying they are backing off this transaction. We may go to another region, probably the Central Region, where very iconic hotels like Ridge Royal and Elmina Beach Resort are located. Remember that Busia Lodge and Trust Lodge are also under attack, so these demonstrations are going to continue.

"We are not going to rest, we are not going to be complacent, and we are not going to allow ourselves to be taken by surprise. It is a national duty, it is a patriotic duty, and we call on all Ghanaians to support this noble quest to protect our pensions," he said.
