Foreign Affairs Minister and current Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya West constituency, Hanna Tetteh; has promised to teach the newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for that constituency a political lesson in the 2016 general elections.
“It’s no surprise he won… I am confident that when the people of Awutu Senya evaluate promises against performance, they will choose performance,” she told Accra-based Starr FM.
The NPP's candidate and former Marketing Manager for Glo, George Andah, who won Saturday’s polls, promised the people after the results were declared, it is time for them to “refuse to be taken for granted” under the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Andah in his victory speech, promised to unseat Madam Hanna Tetteh, and bring the NPP victory in that area come 2016.
But speaking to Starr News days after the NPP polls, Ms Tetteh said she doubts Andah will be of any significant competition to her bid to run for a second term.
“This is not a one-man show. I have an organisation and I am confident in the ability and the quality of my organisation so it’s not only about me.”
