Harvest Chapel provides employment for hundreds of people in Ghana – Bawumia

The Vice President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has commended the Harvest Chapel International for its contribution toward government’s effort in reducing unemployment in the country.

Since its inception in 1992, the Harvest Chapel International, according to Dr. Bawumia, has been very “instrumental in providing employment opportunities to hundreds of Ghanaians, raised many notable leaders and champions of cooperate Ghana.”

Addressing leaders and congregants at the Harvest Chapel International in Accra, Dr. Bawumia expressed gratitude to the church for championing the national discourse by investing in the education and health sectors,for supporting state institutions, and mentoring great leaders.

“Your investments in rural communities through your numerous medical missions, supports to state institutions including; the prisons, educational institutions among others affirm your commitment in fulfilling your spiritual call as your civic responsibilities as an organisation,” he said.

These among others such as safeguarding peaceful coexistence among citizens, especially during and after elections in the country, Dr. Bawumia said, has called for the need for government to support the development of faith-based organisations.

He, therefore, reiterated government’s commitment to supporting and partnering leaders of churches as it works toward the social and economic development of the country.

“Our government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo gave this commitment its highest expression in the establishment of a policy to build a National Cathedral among others,” he said.
