The 2012 flagbearer of the opposition People’s National Convention (PNC), Mr Hassan Ayariga, has said he now has two doctorate degrees – one earned and the other awarded.
The businessman-turned-politician told Kwadwo Asare-Baffour Acheampong (KABA) on Asempa FM’s Ekosii s?n political talk program on Wednesday that the Great Achievers University in Spain, a seminary, awarded him one of the two degrees.
"I told you I have two – one awarded and one earned," he said.
The second doctorate in political science, Mr Ayariga noted, was earned at the Atlantic International University in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Pressed by KABA about how long he studied political science at the Atlantic International University to merit a PhD, Mr Ayariga retorted: "Mr Brother, are we now talking about my educational background? If you want we can do it off air….So, let’s see what is more important now."
KABA later explained to his listeners that he was compelled to nose into Mr Ayariga’s educational background because he (Ayariga) had insisted that he be referred to as Dr Hassan Ayariga at the beginning of the interview.
