He came, saw and conquered! Ghanaians crave for Mahama’s governance as he turns 61 today

Several Ghanaians on social media, mainly twitter users have lavished praise on the former president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama as he turns 61 today. Tweeps likened him to the “son of man” while urging him to work towards ascending the Ghanaian ‘throne’ once more.

A twitter user wrote, “Ghana misses you and we miss your leadership. You've been a blessing to this nation that today we boast of your legacies. Because of you our neighbors envy our progression and development. A true leader & a legend!’.

Others also expressed how their lives are now in tatters under the current government.

The reactions come on the back of the Former President’s 61st birthday which is already trending on twitter.
The former President was born on this day, 29 November 2019 in 1958 at Damango, capital of the West Gonja District, to an affluent teacher, rice farmer and politician.

His father, Emmanuel Adama Mahama, was the first Member of Parliament for West Gonja and the first Regional Minister of the Northern Region.
E.A. Mahama served under Ghana’s first President, Kwame Nkrumah.

Mr Mahama served as President of Ghana from 24 July 2012 to 7 January 2017.
He previously served as Vice-President from January 2009 to July 2012 and took office as President on 24 July 2012 following the death of his boss, President John Evans Atta Mills.
He is meanwhile seeking a comeback in the 2020 election.
