The Krontihene of Akyem Asuom in the Eastern Region, Nana Boadi Amponim Abodade III, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude and unwavering support for the incoming president, John Dramani Mahama.

He compared the president-elect to the Biblical Good Samaritan, who has come to rescue Ghana from its current challenges.

Speaking in an interview on GHOne, the Krontihene said, "The robbers have stolen all the goodies, so a Good Samaritan has come to rescue her and put her in a good, healthy, and happy situation, and also recover the loot that the robbers took."

His perspective stems from the belief that the country has been drained by corrupt leadership, leaving it in a dire state.

He added, "We thank God that the good Lord is about to entrust the mantle to President Mahama. As stated in Luke 10:29, Ghana has been stripped bare and is bleeding."

The Akyem Asuom Krontihene boldly criticized the current government’s track record, describing it as one of wasted opportunities, despite the country’s substantial revenues.
