The Ashanti regional Police command has arrested 2 suspects for their involvement in the beheading of a 5-year-old boy at Ampabame near Sokoban.

Addressing the press, the Ashanti regional Police DCOP Ken Yeboah, said the command Wednesday March 7 ,208 around 7pm had information that Vikuriba Joe Zoot and Kozel Borama all from Tongo had approached Sheik Alhaji Mohammed Maaye, a spiritualist at Suame to sell human parts to him.

He said, the spiritualist feigned interest and agreed to pay an amount of Two thousand five hundred cedis; 2,500.00 to them after collection. The spiritualist then informed police who armed with such vital information, then proceeded to the residence of the spiritualist located at Suame Zongo and arrested the 2 suspects with the fresh head which was concealed in a black polythene bag.

He continued that, the suspects later led the police to retrieve the headless body which was found at the outskirts of Ampabame near Sokoban in an uncompleted building.

Meanwhile, when the headless body of the boy was found, it was noticed that the both hands had been cut off the lifeless body.

DCOP Yeboah ending the press briefing hinted to the media that, the fresh head, hands of the deceased and the headless body of the deceased have been sent to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Morgue.

The suspects have been charged with murder and will be arraigned before court, he said.
