They said despite numerous complaints to the Ghana Highways Authority to construct speed ramps on the road, nothing had been done. The police managed to arrest some of the rioting youth while the others took to their heels.
They include Aganda Roger, 22-year-old student of Kongo Senior High School, Martin Mbugri, 30 year-old farmer, Raphael Azong, 18 year-old laboratory Assistant and Bangin Raymond, 17. Those arrested are in police custody and would be arraigned in court soon.

They have asked government as a matter of urgency, to act swiftly by ensuring that the area was provided with speed ramps to curb accidents.
They both claimed that they had personally on numerous occasions made several appeals to the Ghana Highways Authority for road ramps and road signs in the area were met with excuses on the difficult procurement procedures to obtain materials for the road.
